Thermax Advances India’s Green Methanol Future with Partnerships

Thermax announced a new partnership with Ankur Scientific to develop India's first green methanol production plant at Deendayal Port in Gujarat. Through this collaboration, both companies plan to build a modular facility that will manufacture green methanol using advanced technology as per the published report. According to the announcement, the plant is expected to produce about 5 tonnes of green methanol every day. On an annual basis, the production capacity is planned to reach nearly 18,000 tonnes. 

The companies stated that the methanol produced at the facility will achieve a purity level of more than 99.9%. It is also expected to meet internationally accepted ASTM quality standards and comply with European Union certification requirements for green bio-methanol.

This announcement is important for the methanol market, as it highlights the increasing focus on green methanol production. Also, around the world, industries are looking for cleaner alternatives that can help reduce environmental impact while maintaining reliable fuel supplies.
