In April 2026, in coordination with the Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council, the Abu Dhabi Hazardous Materials Management Centre has launched 11 comprehensive guidelines governing the handling of hazardous materials. This strategic initiative underscores the Centre's commitment to enhancing the regional safety ecosystem, protecting the environment, and standardising regulatory frameworks.
These guidelines are designed to enhance the operational readiness of personnel within relevant entities and facilities, ensuring the safe management of hazardous materials across all stages of handling. By standardising these procedures, the guidelines aim to reduce operational risks, reduce incidents, and optimise efficiency. Furthermore, they establish rigorous practices for handling, storage, and transportation to minimise environmental impact, hence reinforcing the centre's commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
The introduction of the 11 regulatory guidelines by the Abu Dhabi Hazardous Materials Management Centre (ADHMCO) establishes a standardised compliance framework that significantly alters market dynamics.
