Smarter Fire Detection with Siemens Nova

In March 2026, Siemens announced a new generation of fire safety solutions by launching the Sinteso Nova and Cerberus Nova detector series. These new products have been developed to improve the way buildings detect and manage fire-related risks. The detectors use cloud-based connectivity and Internet of Things (IoT) technology to collect and share important information in real time, according to the company's claim. 

Moreover, the new detector range is designed to provide better performance while making system management easier. The devices regularly monitor their own condition, helping ensure that they continue working properly without depending only on manual inspections. They also include technology that improves smoke detection and helps reduce unnecessary alarms. 

Furthermore, Siemens stated that the new detectors can be added to many existing Siemens fire safety systems without replacing the entire installation. This allows customers to modernize their fire protection setup in stages instead of carrying out a complete system upgrade at one time. As a result, the installation process becomes simpler, existing fire protection remains active, and the transition to the new technology can be completed with less interruption to normal building operations.

Also, the company highlighted sustainability during the product development process. The new detectors are produced using recycled plastic materials and are designed to support responsible resource use. Siemens said the products are part of its Siemens Xcelerator portfolio and are manufactured in Switzerland.
